Default FINALLY! New Products Offered by BMR for the GTO!

This has been a 10-month long project with our friends over in Australia at Super Pro. We met with them at the PRI Show in Orlando last December and struck a friendship and business relationship and has been in the works ever since. I felt that the addition of their quality product line would help BMR grow in the GTO market. I can now proudly say that BMR offers the most complete line of suspension, drivetrain and chassis parts for the GTO.

The addition of Super Pro’s GTO and G8 bushings into the American market at prices set competitively without any sacrifice in product quality is a big step. These bushings are designed and manufactured in Australia – unlinke some other options available - and the quality behind their design, build, materials, and moldings is second to none.

At this time, we have a small number of bushings state-side, but a large order should be on its way soon to keep them on the shelves at all times to ship out same day. - Kevin

Looks nice and like how the purple will match my car, too (cosmos)

I'm sure I'll be ordering some of this stuff down the road (esp. RR bushings for instance), so wanted to see if this will be an ongoing thing, or are they limited quantities?

great parts, I was wondering why BMR did not make bushings or anything, was looking some where else, but purple is a good choice over black n red.

We look forward to working with Super Pro for a long time to come and we plan on keeping their parts on the shelf so they will be readily available and can ship right away.

The hardest part for us was finding a good quality bushing company to work with that was not only reputable but knowledgeable. Super Pro is second to none when it comes to bushings for any of the Australian built GM vehicles.

We have talked about it a little bit but nothing has really been confirmed. Our main worry is that it is a very small market and most of the parts you are talking about will take a good bit of time to R&D and test so we just have to make sure it is something that is worth our time before we jump in.

dumb question, but to do the radius arm bushings, you would need the outer and inner (pairs), but is the adjustable part the same as factory? What I mean, is if it's not, what is the purpose of having them adjustable, as far as when would you need to adjust them..Sorry if that sounds like a noob question, but I'm trying to picture these things and their function.

From what I recall, this is one of those things that go out pretty quick on our cars (the oem bushings), so this will be on my list for sure!

Thanks...

If you're asking about for the front, we offer the endlinks. For the rear, we have sway bar bushings a full replacement set.

We are working on getting a couple packages put together.

There is a chance of this in the future, but for right now, we are focusing on a few other projects. This was a big deal for us to establish while our guys develop some other parts for more current platforms. Bringing these SuperPro bushings to the states was my pet project, so this has been my task for the past 10 months.

the D shaped ones.

Not too sure if I know exactly what you're asking, but I will explain the difference of the inner and outer.

The inner bushing, commonly referred to as the front radius rod bushing, is the adjustable bushing attached to the radius rod. By installing this, you will actually be able to FINALLY adjust front caster when you go to an alignment shop. It controls the position of the radius rod by pulling it closer to the front of the car which is determined by the placement of the provided shims - which all must be used in some configuration for install. You can install this in a 100% factory position as indicated in the supplied instructions, or change the position of the shims to get the desired caster. They are sold as a pair to replace the pair on the car.

The outer, commonly referred to as the rear radius rod bushing, is non adjustable. It simple replaces the factory rubber bushing that tends to fail very early, especially after the fronts go out. It isolates the radius rod in its connection to the lower control arm.

I hope this helps. Let me know if you would like any further information.
