Default Wheel Fitment Help!!

Guys, I know this topic has been beaten to death so my apologies for that. I found a set of wheels that I would love to throw on the goat but I want to make sure they will fit and I DO NOT want to roll/cut the fenders AT ALL!!

Fronts = 18" x 8" bolt pattern of 5 x 120 with a 35mm offset

Rears = 18" x 8.5" bolt pattern of 5 x 120 with a 37mm offset

Would they fit? Would they look alright?? Any help would be much appreciated!!! Thanks in advance!

Those are low offsets, especially if you don't want to do any work to make them fit. They will definitely require some sort of rolling of the fenders, unless you get some stiff raise springs and ride around like a 4x4.

Can anyone give a range of offsets/sizes that will work without rolling/cutting the fenders? My car is putting down 500hp at the wheels so i'd like as much traction/rubber as possible. Id go 19" but Im afraid they won't fit. Wheels sizes and offsets confuse the $#%& out of me. Help! Plus most of the wheels im finding that I like have a 72.6 centerbore vs our 69.6. How can I overcome this? Thanks again in advance guys

Centrebore: You will just get "hub rings." Google "hub rings" along with the size of the wheel and our stock hub to find a set.

Offsets: http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp
That calculator will tell you how much each width and offset will push a tire in or out of the fender. 9.5" wide +50mm is a safe offset if you roll the fender. You can also fit about a 275 tire in there on that wheel with that offset. Or you can just call Weld Racing or CCW wheels and they will provide you a set of wheels with the right offsets. 8.5" wide wheel with 245 series tires is not going to do much for you.

Fender rolling: You will need to find a shop to cut or roll your fenders if you want to go wide, just do it and get it over with because otherwise your stuck with crap offsets and widths.

I would recommend getting less than a 19" wheel if traction is your main concern. The larger the sidewall on a tire, generally the more traction you will have.

Thanks for the great info. With that kind of power would you recommend getting them rolled and throwing like a 9.5" wheel on there? Not sure what sizes exactly i want for traction purposes. If went 18's how wide could I go before rolling is necessary? Thanks

I guess what Im asking, if i were to roll the fenders what would be an ideal size street tire/wheel setup I would want to run with 500rwhp? Any help is appreciated. If im gonna get them rolled, what would my best options be?

I currently use 275/30/19's on 19" x 9.5" on our 428rwhp Monaro.
May next try 285/35/19 to try and help with traction.

Ideally? Corvette sized tires. But without a minitub 275 or 285 is as wide as you can go. At that point I would get 15" Weld Racing wheels in the rear, because the taller sidewall will help compensate for the lack of width. Also getting a street legal drag radial like Mickey Thompsons will help. With a tall/soft sidewall and drag radial tire your lateral grip will be compromised. Everything is a tradeoff. Personally, I'm going with 275/30R19 on a 9.5+45 for a balance between looks, traction, and handling. Keep in mind I'm only at 400whp.
