Default Questions for upgrades

Coming from mod motors, I dont know too much about LSx engines.

I am planning on buying a few more things for the GTO but I am lost in doing so.

I have a 06 GTO M6 with cold air and full exhaust. This is a daily driver.

I have bought a TSP 228r cam yesterday and was about to order springs and rods until I came across the Heads section.

will these two be direct bolt on?

Would it be a good idea to go ahead a buy a intake manifold since m unsure if I want a sc or not.

Yes, they bolt right up.

Depending on your cam and how much the heads have been milled, you may need to fly-cut the pistons.

A FAST 102 greatly benefits these motors as the stock LS2 intake is crap. However, if you plan on supercharging it you should know they tend to fall apart above 1 bar.

I really don't want to notch the pistons. I guess I'll just stick with stock heads.

You can get a decent set of heads and not have to flycut the pistons with a 228 cam. Stock heads are 64.5cc chambers, so any of those heads can be had with that same chamber size. And if the 228r cam works with the stock heads, then it will work with those ported heads just keep the chamber the same.
