Default Bought a GTO yesterday!

Finally got myself into a "NEW" ride. I drove down to Jax and picked up a GTO from the 2nd owner.

Its a 2005, only 84,400 miles. Cyclone Grey metallic, Automatic, Black leather, COMPLETELY stock except Offroad X pipe and muffler delete. Brand new tires, struts, shock, radiator, rear slotted/drilled rotors, ceramic pads, and some other stuff. Drive awesome and sounds even better. Anyhow, enough of all that and heres what you really want to see...PICS

Ohh yeah.. I paid $12,800 Cash and he filled her with Premium.

I bought it from a personal seller. 19 YO kid, not really a knowledgable owner. BUT they were serious about maintaning their vehicles. in 1.5 years they had spent almost $3,000 fixing things, replacing things, etc. $1,000 tires, $1,000 spent on radiator, thermostat install, struts , shock, alignment/. More on the brakes and rotors... sooo...I GOT A STEAL I THINK. The kid was selling to buy a built ride before he goes into the Marines in 3 months. Its funny tho, Driving to his house yesterday, I passed a IDENTICAL one parked by a business for sale on the street. RACE TRAK Rd. right at the intersection. its beautiful. The guy i bought from said the other one is $16,500 all stock also.

Very clean ride. Interior leather looks like it's in decent shape but starting to crack, goes without saying, but you'll want to do all you can to preserve that, replacing those big thick seats is VERY expensive.

Personally, I never was able to dig the new GTO look, but yours is clean and a rather rare color, so it would catch my eye. Every time I see a GTO I look to see if it's the V6 or the 5.7, I have much respect for the 6.0 GTO's, those are the ones that can definitely kick my car's ***. I love the sound of that 6.0 too.

You have any plans to mod this car? Share details!

nohope, thanks for the kind words. The seats arent cracking. they just werent conditioned like they should of been but ill take care of that. Also, I dont believe there was a V6 gto.???? I know there newer G8 sedan is a V6 unless its a G8 GT then its a 6.0L

2004 GTO had an LS1 maybe a little whle in 2005 also. 2005/2006 were 6.0L.

I do plan to do basic mods but nothing right away. it will get HPTuners, Cold Air intake, Longtubes later. and thats basically it until I get a sedan for daily use and this become a toy.

Nice color. Did you know it was missing a pedal when you bought it? You just need center caps and OEM 18's and it will look like ****

I think the wheels are ok but I'm getting the center caps. It may be a slow color but i personally think its the best color and unlike every other car on the road.
Thanks for the words

on one hand i agree with you about the auto vs manual auto is def easier in town although i do have alot of fn with my six speed. I sometimes have that debate about should i have got a auto and then put a stall/converter in it. they are just so consistent off the line but then i think how much do i really race it. Either way nice ride. definitely a pretty good price for sure auto or not

Looks great! I bought my 04 a few months ago and I'm loving it. I'm not a fan of the headlights, either. But seeing how OEM ones are $300 USED for one, they're not bad if you had to replace them. Please check out this thread, it's got some info you want to look at.

id prefer the stock headlights but they were on the car so its what i got. They are HELLA bright tho. They look sharp and work just as good as any factory projector ive seen.not a huge fan of the "halo" style either. I actually asked the seller if he had the stocks but he said hed look and i never got a reply. My guess is they were sand blasted badly and he was a kid so they think its a MUST HAVE mod to buy different headlights for every vehicle known to man off of EBAY....But at least these are good quality.
