Default 6-Piston Brembos

Well, I guess I have to be able to stop right? Since my brakes are shot right now I decided it was time to put the brackets I've had in my garage for 6 months to use. The calipers came yesterday and they are huge!

-Brembo 6-piston 17Z calipers
-Ferodo DS2500 pads

To be matched with the BMW 745i 13.7" cryo-treated and slotted rotors, I also ordered some Russel stainless lines which are backordered.

The only question is what color to do them in with an orange car and hyper silver wheels? I was thinking gloss black with orange flake, but I want to hear/see some other ideas.

Orange car with Red calipers?

You can't put red or yellow on an orange car. It looks mismatched to me, either the same color or more contrast than only one step left or right on the visible spectrum

If you will go with dark color it wont be visible as much from far shots. Bright colors wont work on your car really.

Then either BOM or silver. The silver will get lost in the wheels and rotors which would be okay in my opinion, but I assume you want them to stand out a bit.

Red or black. I hated cleaning my calipers constantly on mine.

I think they would look good in gloss black or the silver finish CTS-V's use.

They were 500$ loaded with pads and off a Touareg. I got the brackets for 100$ too. If I just bought some cheap rotors and painted or powder coated them myself I could have a BBK for under 750$

The Proxes rotors are only for 4-pistons in the front and a much smaller caliper. These 6-Pistons will look huge, which is what I need behind 19s.

I picked them up from Bohnman Customs (an LS1GTO sponsor), his last set. He now sells the 6-Piston CTSV Brembo brackets for $240. These actually have a larger piston area than the CTSV 6-pistons. I have done the math and with his 13.4" 4-piston CTSV rear kit and these Touareg front calipers the brake bias is within 5% of stock, leaning a bit towards rear bias.

And yes they use 13.7" BMW 745i rotors, which require hub rings. The CTSV Brembos require the rotor to be machined and opened up to the GTO hub diameter.

I ended up going gloss black with orange flakes and orange "Brembo" decals bro. I think the coater ordered the color today.

I've never seen that on a caliper before so it's going to be nice to have something custom. But here's almost exactly what you suggested lol
