Default My gto first track night

Picked up my nearly stock 05 auto gto in march. Finally got her to the track for a few runs.

Mods:
X pipe with catback delete.
HPTuners
CAI

It was super humid and hot out so I let it cool for a little. All runs with TC off. Ran about 6 runs total. The best run was after a pretty good cool down period.

Best pass:
60' - 2.0X
1/8th - 8.60
1/8th Mph - 86 mph

I was VERY pleased with this pass considering I was on very hard street tires, horrible traction in 1st, spinning bad In 2nd also. The other passes were anywhere from 8.90 - 9.05 at about 82-83. The heat was def my biggest enemy Friday night.

How have you guys ran when stock and as you added mods.

Nice man! It's always exciting to get the car to the track for the first time. 8.6 in a lightly modded auto sounds good to me! How were your R/T's?

Congrats on taking it out there! As bad as it sounds like your tires were, at least you got the 2.0 60ft.

I don't know about you guys, but when I'm just at a T&T looking for times, R/T is the last thing on my mind. I'm just trying to dial in the set up. I wouldn't let that "horrific" time get you down haha.

Yeah R/T isn't a concern unless I am more interested in beating an opponent. If I'm out there racing my own car, 60' & E/T are my concerns.

I've actually gotten nitto drag radials since but have not taken it out in decent weather to improve on the times. I'll update this when i do.
