Default Cam only ls2/A4

One of my guys went out this past Friday night and went 11.85@116..
Custom ground cam, stock intake and TB, headers, Borla cat back, home made CAI, and a 3600 Yank converter.

I think it has some more left in it, the car made a tick over 430..

I actually drove it for a week and thought it was awesome. The cam isn't real crazy because I wanted to keep it as streetable as possible.
It does need a little more rear gear, but Aaron's town under 40mph I just left it in 3rd gear and it was real nice to drive.

Very impressive numbers, both on the track and dyno. Who spec'd the cam? I would agree that it has more in it. With an OTRCAI, and a fast, I would like to think mid 11's would be achievable.

Well done!

Change diff gears and bigger convertor should see a couple more mph at the top end and a significantly lower ET as well.

Sorry guys, was getting for a race this weekend so my internet time was *zero* towards the end of the week..
Brian who owns the car had a TON of runs in this car before the cam, so he knows how to launch it pretty well.. I don't believe it has any suspension mod's so far, it has a drag radial tire on it.
We know we can find some more in it from a 4400 converter probably, but the car drives SO well with the SS3600 in it, I would hate to sacrifice it..

Right now we plan to beef up the suspension a bit more, put a gear in it, and take it out for some more beatings.. I think the car has much more potential in it.
Over the winter I will be porting the heads and manifold to match and seeing what it will do as a H/C car over the winter..

And to think, about 2 months ago Brian was talking about getting rid of the car and buying an F-body..... Needless to say, he isn't thinking that anymore.

Procharger is obviously pretty killer, but I would say it depends on your goals and long term plans.. H/C car would be pretty stout, difficult to say which would go faster... Stock internal Procharger, or N/A Heads & cam car... I think the H/C car would be faster..

Do heads and cam, if you want a blower go with a 2.3 Magnusson, the Pro Charger makes you replace the factory cooling fans for wimpy thin ones and is best not to go there, ask me how I know.

I say heads and cam with a killer set of heads like PRC or Mast rectangular ports and 11.3 compression (mill the heads) and have Patrick G spec out a cam for your application, is only $25. and you owe it to yourself, the car will make tons of power and will be light and run cool all day.

Take the super charger money and invest in a 102mm intake and throttle body then get yourself a light set of wheels and Micky Ts d/r and a set 4.10 gears and don't look back.

Other than that take weight off

Sorry I think it should be called more appropriately everything but ported heads, but I hand it to you it did real well both on the dyno and the track, else I agree with staying with the SS3600 the SS400 on the street is not pleasant I had to send mine back for a pro Yank 3600 and I just love it.

Suspension work gears and heads that TA should run 11.3 / 11.4

Jobs wanted to know who's car that is I see a CHC plate on it . I have been back and forth about doing a cam in my GTO. I have some Kooks and a yank 3200 waiting to go in. The suspension is done and I have a vararam with a ported intake and tb. Best I have run in 90degree heat with a garbage street tire is 12.9x with no traction. I have some MT dr and front runners waiting to go on as well. Just want a nice 11.x car for the street. What do ya think?
