Default new owner gto 04. couple questions?

okay so first off i just wanted to say this is my first ls car, so my knowledge is limited im learning quickly though!
long story short i just turned 21 at the end of october and i really wanted to buy myself a car that i could enjoy. ive always been a fan of any ls series motor. so i hopped on autotrader and looked through a couple gm platforms(camaro,gto,T/A) luckily i found an 04 gto 6 speed with only 40,000 miles for a fair price.
the car came from california, 1 owner, no accidents, fairly good shape.
all in all im beyond satisfied with the cars drive ability and power especially.

I have a few negatives about the car
-i have no clue about any engine mods done to the car.
-the interior was never treated and it tore along the seems on the top of the back seats and the driver seat by the seatbelt.
-2nd gear synchronizer is sloppy to say the least.
- few small dents and scuffs in the paint.

im not to discouraged by any of the negatives all of those issues can be resolved.

before i get too far off topic i really wanted to see if i could get some answers from any one on the forum about the car. After reading the big issues such as the fuel rail covers and wire harness behind the glove box. i took a few pictures and wanted to see if anyone had input as to whether im in the clear or should i further address these areas to avoid all problems if any at all.
i took pictures of the harness behind the glove box and the fuel line. the harness looks taped up pretty good im assuming the previous owner was aware of the issues same goes for the fuel rail, no covers and only minimal rub on the line where the yellow warning label is.
i just want to be sure that the amount of wear on the fuel line isnt too much.
as for the wire harness my digital section of dash has a lot of out of place pixels of weird lines when i change the volume or even scroll through the menu options.
i took a few pics of everything to just help explain.

With the Fast intake the previous owner has worked on the vehicle thus the wrap on the fuel line being torn, my bet. If it's cold where you live that may the pixel issue. Maybe try screwing around with the settings after she's warmed up...You got the FAST, so I'd bet you've got a cam or (if the previous owner was smart) at least long tubes. If you going to get more in you'd better make sure you can move it as well.

yeah im not sure what an ls1 stock feels like power wise but this car is NOT slow. but it does have long tubes im not sure what brand or anything but i wasnt sure if the pixels were messed up because of being tuned maybe? idk
so far what i know the car has for sure besides what you see is
drag bags in the rear coils
aluminum driveshaft dont know specs
its has a 2 step launch controller (that i have no idea how to use)
catless exhaust
some other things not coming to my head right now

does anyone know by looking at the intake manifold and tb what size it is? and is there any full proof way of know what kind of cam is in the car whether it be factory or not i was planning on upgrading to the 102 manifold equivalent throttle body And a solid cam but depending on whats in the car now i may be good to go with a new tune? im not to sure

i still feel like i want to upgrade to the 102 intake to get the most out of it that way if i ever change anything else i know i will have optimized that end of the performance. i still need to figure out if it has a cam and i do plan on taking the car down the quarter mile, just to see what im working with.

also is anyone aware of the digital fuel usage on the dash like whether it works properly? does it show actual fuel usage or is it just showing like an estimate from distance travels and average speed?

jesus h.christ man,the car is in pain posing, flog it...

quick look shows me a fast 90 intake and throttle body, line lock and headers.idling at 800 or so,cam.flog it.

the instrument cluster could be a swap not certain, get a tech II on it for a mileage reading from the bcm.flog it anyway.

once in gear, rev until the limiter cuts power or if too nervous just keep it below 6800.
flog it.

Check your clutch resivoir, it may be brown and goopey. In that case you need to bleed the clutch. That can lend to hard shifts.

I wouldn't bother swapping to the 102 unless you build a larger cube engine and really want to squeeze that last few HP out. The 90/92 is more than enough to feed a stock displacement LS1.

Good luck with the car...

thanks for the tip.
yeah ive done bit of reading, and with the current set up and what im aiming for the car is pretty much already there.
might do heads and cam, im in no hurry winter has just hit and ive got a couple months to figure out what i want while the car sits....

as for the reservoir im fairly certain is fine i think the hard shifts might be the worn out u joints the dealer put in a new clutch before i bought the car.

Changing the clutch fluid makes a night and day difference, I would recommend doing so if you haven't yet.
