Default Need help with suspension upgrade

My question is what all should I replace and get to make my car hook at the track and also better on the street? I've read about adjustable shock and coil overs but still haven't got down to the best all around set up. Right now I am h/c/I/e and have no traction at all. I drive my car daily and want it set up for weekend track racing. Thanks in advance

What kind of tires are you running or planning on running? Also does the car have an auto or manual transmission? Do you have any suspension parts currently installed on the vehicle?

Right now I am running everything stock from factory and the tires I am running on street are 255 35 18 Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta and 275 18 m/t et street at the track. Auto 3200 stall

With the kind of power you are making you will probably never get the 255 35 18 Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta to hook on the street. You should be able to get 275 18 m/t et street to hook on well prepped track but anything less will be tough just because there isn't much sidewall to them. As far as suspension goes I would really recommend looking into a set of drag bags and rear adjustable shocks. Both of these suspension mods will really help drive the tire into the ground which will improve traction and straight line performance.

BMR Drag bags (DB001)

Koni rear adjustable shocks (8041 1194SPORT)

You need better tires, try a set of re11's if this is a street car... they will transform the way your car leaves.

On the track, you have the right tires, is wheel hop an issue?

I guess I shouldn't jump the gun. I ran it with full exhaust and intake with the tires hooked well but I figured I would not hook once I did the heads/cam/intake so I guess I'll run it see how it goes then go from there

I assume you meant 265/40/18 Mickey Thompson.

Tires and Drag Bags. When I was at stock power, with just Nittos and the drag bags, I was able to pull a 1.79 60 ft and that's with a stick shift car.
