Default 04 GTO Mods? 500hp?

I have a mint condition 04 GTO. I bought my baby 4 months ago and she is flawless with only 20k miles. She is completely stock (this car is the definition of stock) and an automatic. I want to get her at 500hp and I just need help on what mods I need to make her faster. Any suggestions?

I have a 04 with TSP heads and custom cam with HARDCORE intake with nitrous and tune with 75 shot with plate kit making 489 RWHP and 475RWTQ. Without spray 390RWHP 410RWTQ. Great drivability and great power with and without nitrous gonna be adding hard lines and bigger solenoids for bigger shot soon will be well over 500 soon.

do you want to use your current engine or short block ?consider a super charger or turbo .or swap in a bigger engine, like a 383 or bigger .first mod is to get a 2nd job .check Texas Speed for ideas .

Get a torque converter first then move up from there. Leave nitrous for last since the torque spike will make your trans hate you.

This was my first question. There is a very large difference there.

Just do heads cam intake exhaust and tune then take some weight off in this way you keep it simple and light, is best option.

Another option is a 1.8 Magnusson supercharger with upgraded intercooler and long tube headers exhaust.

Whichever way you go a torq converter and transmission upgrade is needed.

You can also try a search. That will yield a lot of the answers you need
Read build threads to get ideas too. Your transmission will not last for ****.

I agree with some of the other posters; FI is probably your best bet.

Id go the fi route

It'll still take a lot to make 500 to the ground.
I have a pullied Maggie 122 and more cubic inches and my car still probably barely makes 500 wheel.

What is the reason you want 500? Horsepower is the by-product of a good running engine. That should be your goal. People who chase dyno numbers have no idea what they mean other than their buddies will think its cool.
