Cheap Ebay "stainless headers"
Has anyone used or seen these cheap "stainless" headers on ebay? These look to be even cheaper than the OBX stuff...
Not really looking to buy them but I want to see if there are any reviews on them.

Idk about those, but I have these http://www.ebay.com/itm/OBX-Racing-Exhaust-Header-05-06-Pontiac-GTO-LS2-6-0L-Full-Length-/181399866911?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Model%3AGTO&hash=item2a3c464e1f&vxp=mtr.
Quality welds, install was a pain in the dick, but longtubes on a LS2 GTO seem to be that way. Had them on the car since May and no complaints here.

The 2.5" collectors will become a bottleneck if you decide to add more power through a blower, cam, heads, etc.
These were also brought up on LS1GTO. It didn't bode well for the OP.

Im between the OBX and pacesetter....I know the box are a copy of a "superior" design but I honestly had no problems with my pacesetters on the ws6...plus they are designed and made here in America.....
Living in Florida Im not concerned with the rust or corrosion - and if they get dinged up a bit....its a f'in header lol.
Thanks for the replies

I can speak for my obx headers on my cts-v. Welds looked great. Gauging was consistent. Head flange was 7/16" thick and not warped. Ports were clean. Collectors were fully welded no pin holes. Everything fit nicely. I was happy spending $650 vs $1200 for kooks for my car.

Any long tube is going to be an improvement, but in terms of quality, maximum bang for the buck and minimizing potential problems out of the box; you get what you pay for and I'd prefer not to skimp on something as fundamental as headers.

If you have OBX headers, you're a communist, cheap ***, less horsepower having son of a bitch. Or at least that's what I hear on ls1gto. I have the OBX long tubes and I have no complaints. Had them on about 8 months and no complaints. No leaks, install was good, and AFTER the tune there was a nice power bump. As a guy who isn't planning on anything major(I'd like to do a cam w/ 3.90 gears), I didn't see the point in all that extra money to squeeze out a few extra HP tops. And they're stainless, so all of the longevity arguments don't make much sense to me.

I bought kooks 1 7/8 just because of me wanting to go with a blower. However, my initial choice was OBX, why not SS cheap, and like said above its just a header. However, the design the kooks sucks, I had to put a dent in one of the primaries and buy Hinson motor mounts to keep the header from kissing my steering rack. Never again kooks, American racing or OBX perhaps.
As for ls1gto.com, seems like that board is controlled and no free opinion is allowed unless its all milk and honey about the sponsors.

I am running these exact headers on my GTO.
They fit ok, but I needed to notch the frame a little bit on the driver side as they were really close and would vibrate on the frame rail making noise. They are really good quality for as cheap as they were and real stainless steel. I did go over them very carefully before install and even used a sanding block and a straight edge to make sure the flanges were perfect. I had custom dual exhaust made for it and I love it. I've got a 6.0 lq9 block with ported LS3 heads and made 480rwhp and 420rwtq through a t56 and 3.70 gears.
Dont mind my sig, I havent posted in a couple of years. Sold my Bimmer and built my GTO.

As for anybody else, what I notched on my frame is no different than drilling a half inch hole in it which won't affect the integrity of it AT ALL, since it is a completely boxed in frame rail. I am a mechanic and I do know a bit about structure on a car. putting a small notch in that could easily be filled in with a small weld if I wanted was easier than spending an extra 500 dollars for the so called "better" headers.
