Default borla exhaust fitment

This was on the car when I picked it up and have only one complaint. The tips stick out obsurdly far from the bumper

Is that common or do I just need to crawl under it and try to make it better?

I can't lost pics because they are oversized with my phone but they stick out a good 2-3 inches from the bumper. My friend called the trailer hitches

managed to get a good look at some of the exhaust and it looks like there are 2 areas I can loosen a clamp and see if more pipe needs to slide in (giggity)

you can definitely tell from under the car that the passenger side needs to be pushed in a good 1" or so more and it would tuck a bit better. Just looking at the hanger its obvious there is more room for it go under the car more

From what I remember, they always stick out more on that exhaust.

the driver side isnt bad its the passenger side that sticks out quite a bit, I probably need a better pic that shows them. I think id be ok if both set like the driver side, they would probably look odd full tucked under the car since the are angled tips. Thanks for the insite though that is kind of what I was wondering. Every pic I have seen of them is from an angle that you cant really tell how far the tip is tucked under the car

A friend down the street has the borla, I'll ask him tonight.

I have a borla catback and I can tuck my tips behind the valence if I wanted to.
right now they sit about flush. I remember having some extra play in the for / after movement so i'd check that first.

I hear there is some adjustment room. Here are some pics for you to look at.

Thanks for the pics 2qwk

Got it up on a lift and it was almost like the original owner barely tried to install it.

Quite a bit better, though still not tucked as far in as the pics you posted

Might be just your mid pipe/header combo being longer.

That's possible, though I think I still have some more room to go under the car with it. Just a few taps with a rubber mallet and I got it to where it is now.

Just was hesitant about having the inner side of the tip recessed past the rear valance just to get the outer side flush, but it looks good in the pic.

Hadnt had a chance to mess with it, been having some issues with my firebird and its kinda sucked up all my wrench time.

I was just thinking about it this weekend though, sad thing is it wouldnt take me but 15-20 minutes to get under it and get it done. Just focused on the mistress
