Default Production number on 2006 SLP Bobcat 455 packages?

I tracked down an M6 BOM 455 car out in Cali, and I was curious to see how many were ever made. I think this just might be the GTO I was praying for!

I knew you could buy the package... Is this one they built?

This was an aftermarket package that could be installed at any time. I don't think you can really say that any were "built" to the extent this would imply a GM option on a new GTO.

Or in this case since they were modified GTOs, how many were done by SLP?

None. You can go to Maryland Speeds online store and buy the "package". It's nothing special I promise other than a marketing strategy from SLP.

The package is also overpriced for what you get, it's fairly mild. "Street Legal" says it all.

I've found one with the package which would save me a ton on the exhaust components I would have bought separately. Also, on Maryland Speed they no long offer the package. Everything says it's either not available or it's out in the places I've checked Of course I'd love to just have the exhaust and get the FTI cam kit I was going to get separately, along with LS7 lifters but the other parts I wanted like the under drive pulley and thermostat would already be there..

Exhaust is a lousy place to spend money on this car unless you're going for sound and you can part it cheaper and better. There is really nothing substantial in that kit. A FTI cam will net you more by itself than the whole thing. FWIW the thermostat does nothing. The SLP package was so-so and overpriced 10 years ago and now it's even less desirable

For sure! If you spend the time to decide what mods you want to install and do a little shopping, you will be miles ahead of the SLP package. Way better components are available today that offer a much better bang for the buck than the SLP package ever did. The SLP mod group was not terrible, but it was a package based on name recognition to enthusiasts. You primarily paid for the ability to say the name "SLP XXX HP package" when trying to impress your friends.

If it has the kit, buy the car for the fact that you are getting a car with headers already installed. Don't buy it thinking it is some rare beast.

I can't remember if SLP put their 1.85:1 rockers on theBobcat package or not.

I never thought it'd be rare, but it would save me a ton on exhaust work

I got a hold of the guy, and he refused to take the car to a dealership for an inspection paid by me, and also is refusing to have the car inspected by a private company working on his schedule.. He's acting like a dick about this and I've got no clue where to go if the guy won't work with me.

Does anyone know if there's a M6 BOM GTO for sale at a dealership anywhere near them?

Screw that. If someone won't let you take the car to get inspected that raises so many potential red flags. That or he is just a total dick.

None of these people I've contacted will be willing to work at all through any sort of dealership or third party. The last guy I got a hold of was out in Seattle said it was cash or nothing.

I live in east-central Illinois, and I made it clear to him that I won't be able to go out there. Every single time they say "oh I don't have time to go to a dealership or wait for a shipping company" which immediately either means they want to dump the car or aren't willing to take the time to make a clean transaction.

WHY CAN'T PEOPLE STOP BEING DICKS

You may have to do a search within 9 hours or so. Search the big cities through Craig's list. These cars don't really go through dealers in Kansas city. They're pushing the limits of being finance due to age. The newest are 9 years old now.

I've used SearchTempest (which is just a craigslist mass search) nearly every day scouring for one of these cars, and the one out in Cali and the ones in Seattle (both owned by dicks) are the only ones that haven't been hacked or have well over 100K on them :/ I've come really close too buying one from a dealer, but some guy beat me to it by 30 minutes.
