Check ls1gto.com, there's more info there.

Suspension is crap and should be upgraded right away especially if it has alot of miles. Oh you can't fit big tires on it compared to most other muscle cars.

picked mine up over a year ago. I had an 05 silverado extended cab with ss bumper and roll pan. I used to miss my truck but this car puts a smile on my face everytime I drive it. One of the better decisions I have made I think.

true about the suspension, wasnt there also an issue with the radiators on them?

ls1gto.com has a lot of info once you wade through the insults

They are known to crack and leak at the bottom. Nothing major as it's an easy job and an upgraded radiator for a few hundro is never a bad idea. Thankfully mine never developed that issue in over 7 years of ownership, so it's not that common of a problem.

At this point in the life of the car and its subsequent forums, all research should be done by reading old threads (which can be very informative). Most new discussions are met with jackass remarks from the few remaining original owners. The good thing is most if not all info/knowledge is already there...so no need to deal with those guys for the most part.

redtan I never had an account there so my experience was searching through old threads via google I generally found the 1st page to be devoid of anything usefull, more of a read the whole thread before you abandon it.

I bought mine from the dealership and it was listed under the paper work about the radiator being replaced due to model issue or some jargin on the WO. and when I asked they mentioned it was common for the tanks to leak.

I will say my motor mounts were absolute garbage as well, not sure if thats an issue or the previous owner's. Hinsons poly mounts are awesome though.

definantly dig into the suspension bits first

my overflow tank had to be replaced i just remembered.

also, keep your clutch fluid changed regularly and shifts will be fine for the most part unless youre redlining every gear constantly lol.
