Hey all,

So I'm sick of looking at the gap that's between my pod and the trim above the HVAC controls. I've notched the Area around the pod but it still won't sit flush. Does anyone know of a pod that actually sits flush?

What brand is / where did you get yours?

The one on gtog8ta.com (pictured below) has a pretty ugly gap. You could always throw some bondo at it, fill the gap, and repaint it.

I went through 3 gauge pods before I found one that fit right. Unfortunately, that was 10 years ago, so even if I remembered who made it, they probably aren't around anymore.

The Team SCSS pod is what I currently have in the car.

If you have a bad gap with an SCSS pod, you didn't install it correctly. I had to trim a significant portion of plastic underneath. Here's my end result - looks pretty much stock:

Got a pic of how much you shaved out of the upper trim?

No, unfortunately, I didn't. IIRC, the original instructions showed that you had to trim down some of the plastic underneath. All I did was mark approximately where my gauges were going to hit obstruction and took a flap sanding wheel to it until it fit. It was a trial and error process, but the end result was a stock-looking gauge pod.

I went through to trim and file more down to see where it was hitting.. Shaved and trimmed all visible obstructions making contact, still no dice. I think my pod might be warped..
