procharged gto times
Hi guys just wondering what times you guys are running with prochargers and what mods?
Looking at buying a procharger in the next few weeks trying too determine what size head unit to go for.
Will be running it on a stock cammed ls1 for now till I finish building a new engine which will either be an ls1 based 383 or an iron block 6L ( if i can sell my new ls1 block )
Thanks
Brad

I don't have any numbers from you because quite honestly, I was scared to go to the track and break something. But, I think maybe a D1SC or F1A would be good for you. All depends on your goals to be honest. I have a D1 on my GTO now making 720whp. Paired with a 403 and meth injection though. I could probably make mid 800's but the blower would be about maxed out. I just picked up an F1R and the car should be making 1000whp+ once I have that swapped and go E85.

Drag times would be a lot about how much power you could get to the ground without spinning, hopping, or breaking something. At that level I'd want a 9" rear end and wide tires in tubbed fenders.

so far, stock... stock rear end and stock trans. I just bought the car recently though so I just enjoyed it the last few months and am tearing it all down to be built this winter. I'd love to have a 9" but I don't have much use to go all out like that.

In 2007, I ran my car in Sacramento with a stock LS1, D1SC and STOCK fuel pump and Injectors. (I did not know this at the time as a shop installed this kit).
It ran 12.5 at 111 mph on it's best run A4 trans.
When I took it to a very well known tuning shop (went out of business shortly after) they laid down a base run of like 425WHP. After a couple of runs, they squeezed out 49x WHP and lifted the #7 ring land on the piston. I was fortunate to only pay "Half" the cost of the tuning lol. I know, it was a learning experience for me. I now build my own ****. TT 408 with a built TH400.
But if I could do it all over again, I'd get an F series Procharger kit with forged pistons, head studs, good rods, fuel etc... and be extremely happy with a reliable 600ish WHP street car.

Been down the track about 5 times after the Procharger. Best is 11.5 at 123. Stock motor with D1, meth, exhaust, all driveline mods, drag tires. M6. Putting the best 60ft and backend together it's probably got 11.2 or so in it. Maybe a driver mod would get there.
