Hello LS1 GTO,

Im a little embarrassed to have to write something like this about a company that I've read good things about. I received the short throw shifter from Hinson Motorsports on January 15th which i spent a good deal of money on. $395.00 for the HINSON GTO Short Throw Shifter 2004-2006 (Hinson Black Shift Ball) SKU:7051-KB7051-KB

Upon receiving the shifter the Black Shift Ball has very deep gouges in the ball itself. Packaging was very good and it for sure didn't happen in transit. The shifter was sent out like this.

First call made to Hinson Motorsports Brian admitted that they had some issues sending out shift ***** with imperfections. He wanted me to send him a couple photos of the issue i had. This was the last correspondence I have had from them.

It is now 2 months later with nothing resolved and absolutely nothing in return from Hinson Motorsports. I haven't heard a peep. I have now spent $1400 with a company I will no longer do business with and i have been nothing but patient.

I emailed Hinson back with photos and also videos of the issue at hand. I will no longer do any kind of business with this company and I will not run the shifter on my car out of pure principle.

I hope i can get this resolved or at least help some people and not have them make the same mistake i made.

Call them back they are horrible at email correspondance, I recently had an issue with my one piece shaft and I emailed them. didnt hear back as fast as I thought I should so I called left a message cause they werent open yet (stupid time difference) called again and got a human. Told them my issue and started working directly with PST (there shaft supplier) got it all sorted out and a new shaft.

Sucks to say it but keep calling

The area code is 256 not 562...

Brian is a pretty good guy, I think you just got lost in the day to day shuffle of a small business that is doing its best to grow and provide us enthusiasts with better options.

I am sure he will straighten this out, patience brother...

Thanks guys, at this point there is no excuse. I get it i've had a small business and sometimes we get caught up. Im never "that" guy to complain or slam a company online, but at this point I've done more then I needed to to make it right with the company. If $1400 spent with them isn't a big enough account or sale then I don't think anyone else should do business with them either.

If this ever gets resolved I'll delete the thread. For those that hit me up on the purchase of the kit I'll let you know at a later date.
