It really wasnt that bad, all it really needs is a 4.10 gear, and some nitrous to wake it up a lil bit.

It drives with a lot of finesse, the weight isn't terribly noticable. Not unlike the CTS-V really.

Yup, with those deals flying around It might be the only car you could buy and then sell the next year without taking a loss. Just in time to trade it in for a LS2 goat

Pig?

My Camaro weighs - 3,460lbs
My GTO weighs - 3,760lbs

I would reckon you T/A weighs a few more pounds than my Camaro which closes that 300lb gap and many WS6 and Convertibles weigh MORE than the GTO.

So it really isn't a "pig".

resale on any new car sucks. who gives a **** what the retail is. if that chases you away from buying it then dont ever buy a new vehicle in your life

Our stock 3.46 geared GTO is the same as a 3.90 geared F-Body, except 4th gear Assuming 94+ T56 F-Body. 4.10's in the GTO would be way too much gearing.
And these LS1's respond to the same mods that F-Body LS1's respond to. So expect to see quite a few 12 second cars once the mods start coming

You don't feel the weight. It honestly doesn't feel any heavier than my TA, or a C5, and no different than a CTSV. Perception goes a long way and having that solid, balanced feel is great (especially at speed). Obviously you can figure what a GTO 300-400lbs less would do numbers wise.

Think of it this way. Not the best for a stripped drag car but the ride you get is so worth a few lbs. If you want more performance bring more ponies, but i wouldn't change a thing to this car.
