The IRS can go well into the 10's......

I've been beating mine and its still ticking......

145 passes, 2yrs, you see my times in the sig.......no upgraded parts, no breakage.

I plan on going low 10's on it and maybe just once run a 9.9x

The solid axle conversion is def. not something I would do, our cars are too nice. You want to run big 9's buy a used fbody and spend less

for the cost of a stock gto, you can build an fbody that runs 10's.. why wouldnt you? i mean, if you MUST have sra..

I've decided i actually like the rear in the car, they seem to hold together a lot better than an f body 10 bolt after you eliminate the wheel hop.

You left out the only important satement.. In an Automatic car. My F-body was runing 10's on the factory 10 bolt, but only cause its an auto car. These break "almost" as easily as a 10 bolt in a manual car. M6 and a solid clutch and ther rear end goes boom...

Just something to think about 2 of the fastest GTO's on the boards Kenny's Cartex tuned 9.7 @140 and Brent's Cartex tuned 10.3 @ 133 both had almost stock IRS in them. While everyones bashes them how many have actually broke one. Putting a straight axle is no simple swap as Kenny and anyone else following has come to realize. Since replacing the IRS his car has not been back in the 9's. While I am certain he will get the bugs worked out maybe the IRS was not as much a problem as everyone seems to think.

Seriously? Maybe 20,000 left and a fraction of those that will buy them.
