Default I envy you boys with the Goats!!!

I've got my 98 Formula and it having the mods in the sig, I would take a 04-05 GTO anyday of the week over my POS.

I had the chance to go look and sit on one the other day and all I have to say is, WOW. The interior is so much nicer and a hell of alot more comfortable. The way ecerything is laid out and the quality of all the interior pieces really sets it away from my Fbody. Exterior looks so nice with it lower than most cars stock and just the way it is shaped really looks nice. I did not get a chance to drive it due to the fact that most dealers will want to run your credit before driving it.

After reading about em and finally being able to see one up close and being able to feel the inside, I think I have made up my mind to begin saving up some cash for a dwon payment and put the Formy up for sale soon.

Hopefully you will see me in a goat in the VERY near future!

I traded in a 98 TA on my 04 Goat and have never looked back. You cannot get a better car for the money. V8 with great Power, RWD. Excellent interior and under the radar. I love my GTO.

I know I will never look back myself. I traded in my 2002 Z28 A4 for a 05 goat M6, the only aspect where I will miss the Z28 was in Traffic or waiting at a long stop light. I loved the Z28 but when I drove 2004 Goat m6 last summer I was hooked, then when the 05 came out and I drove 65 miles to a dealer ship, I bought the 05 Yellow Jacket. A lot more comfortable and a lot better build quality in my opinion. Plus throw in the fact that I went from 2002 Z28 to the 2005 Goat and my insurance dropped $ 23 a month as well .

Yea right now my insurance is about 100 a month. I am wondering what it is going to cost if I get a GTO...

Again I can't wait to test drive one or atleast drive in one.

I`ve done that, buy something for a nice daily driver and then mod the hell out of it instead. Your friends remind you it was supposed to be a dd and give you **** all the time.

You have the color I want but I am not looking to get one for about 7-9 months. Hoping price will drop, which I am very sure it will.

I also noticed mods are not cheap like my Fbody, or I should say not as cheap as my Fbody.

The gto has a terrible factory stereo and bad wheelhop. When that is the only bad thing you can say about a car, you have a damn nice car. I love mine.

Save up and get one. I started with a formula also till I drove the goat. You should be able to at least test drive a 04 GTO that is used. I had to about twist their arm on a 05 till I started to walk then they let me. This was in march when they were in short supply. Great cars you wont be disappointed.

Yeah mine plays CD-Rs just fine. It can't play MP3s though. I thought the stereo sounded better than the Monsoon in my Camaro. I'm pretty happy with it. Just turn off the EQ and crank up the sub amp and it sounds pretty good. Thinking about a speaker upgrade for the front but I'm not touching the head unit.

Any thing you guys don't like about the 04 or 05's?
I am hoping that the 05's come down in price in 8 or so months but if I find a good deal on a 04, I'll have to go with that.
Jon
Thanks for all the comments!

I don't like that the oil pressure and voltage gauges on the Australian cars aren't plug and play on the '04s while they are on the '05s.
