Default LT's with stock exhaust?

I know that longtubes do add a good deal of power. How much of a gain could you see with longtubes and the stock catback, for noise purposes? Would it be worth the gain/ noise level or would it be a waste of time?
Sorry but I am not too familiar with the catback on the GTO's...

You'll see a noticeable gain even if you run the stock catback.

the stock catback on the 05 gtos are considerably good, i plan on keeping the stock catback and replacing with LTs and hi flow cats. You should see a 20-25rwhp gain for LTs and Cats, with the Stock catback. Ive heard people switching to other catbacks and only gaining 5-7rwhp over stock.

Well that is good to know. It would be much nicer to throw some nice longutbes on while keeping the stock catback for sound.

yeah the sound is improved.....the stock catbacks are just not worth it unless you only want the sound. I have yet to see someone gain anything over 10hp for some of these $600-700 catbacks.

I have longtubes with cutouts and stock exhaust out back.

Long tubes with cats and stock cat back....sounds great. I had the H-Pipe made functional and it quieted it down to almost stock levels. Stealthy
