Default Where to get a Tune

Where could you go to get a tune for a 05 GTO in the Northeast. Needs to be in Mass, NY, CT, RI, or North NJ.

Hey guys, got questions...

What exactly are you tuning when it comes to a stock 2005 LS2 GTO? I used to own a 2000 Z28 and I didn't even have to tune it after I put in my long tube headers. I had it tuned anyway, but I don't understand why guys are having their LS2 G.T.O's tuned in stock trim. Pardon my ignorance but i'd apreciate if someone could clarify.

Can LS1 Edit software be used to tune a 2005 G.T.O?

Lastly, If you just want to "tune out" some, or all of the Torque Management in a 2005 six speed G.T.O, will the MPG be compromised in any way?

Thanks!

I had my GTO tuned at Catek, in NJ. They are pretty reputable with Vette's F-Bodies and GTOs.

GTO owners are getting stock cars tuned, because the motors come pretty de-tuned from the factory and you can usually open up a lot with some spark advance.

We take the cars out on the street and check their street manners after a tune.

I heard that Woodbridge Dynotech is a decent LS1 tuner shop in the Northern VA area. Actually, it's the only one I'm aware of, although there are tons of Vette shops around here, so I imagine there has to be somewhere closer.

Anyone know of any other local tuners or if not, can anyone here vouch for the Woodbridge Dyno guys? Any shared experiences good or bad for that matter, would be helpful.

Thanks,
