I just backed out of a CF hood on my YJ for exactly the same reason...seems like the only color that can get away with it is the PBM.

I'll try to answer all your questions

It is one peice!

I absolutely LOVE the hood!!! I had an SLP hood and loved it too, but the quality was crap and even after extensive body work, it still had waves in it, basicly looked like a fat chick sat on my hood, so I went with the CF hood and will never look back.

There is no labor cost persay, the hood is PERFECT out of the box, I have seen just about every aftermarket hood out there and so far the banshee hood is the only on that fits the lines of the car flawlessly. For the paint, I have a guy , but he charged me 600 for the hood, the front auto x grilles painted black and the back panel black. So I can't tell you for 100% what the hood was, but 3 things were painted for 600

I think that the same setup but in red would look just as good! Its all on personal preference, but I figured I couldn't go wrong with old school hood stripes.

oh yeah, a TON of looks and alot of comments. I also have LTs, P&P 243 heads and a cam, so she's loud too! For x-mas I getting the banshsee CF spoiler too and will expose a bit of that as well. I'm hoping to be in "heavy mod" for the GTOAA Nats next year. Got third this year in modded. There are waaay too many more mods to list now, but I'm looking to have a full suspension done by then and maybe even brakes too.

Yeah I got a cat back, basicly all the mods are as follows:

Auto x grilles
HIDs
Banshee CF hood
K&N CAI
SLP P&P TB
Taylor 10.4 wires
plugs
SLP UD pulley
Patroit Performance P&P 243 castings w/pat gold springs
Comp Cams chromemolly push rods
Speed Inc SI3 cam
BMR strut tower brace
SLP LTs with HF cats
SLP LM II catback
Spec 2 clutch
GMM rip shifter
BMR DS safety loop
BMR Subframe connectors
BMR drag bags
SLP rear sway bar
Energy suspension rear half poly bushing kit
Harrop rear diff cover
Motegi rims w/ BFG KWD NTs
Speed Inc tune
Custom paint
Holden blue tooth kit
Holden door lock/unlock kit
Chris White stock shift light activation
Banshee gauge pod
Aeroforce gauges

and I know I'm missing some too.... all but for the few "appearance/electronic" only mods will change your exhaust note, so yes, even without a cat back, you'll hear a difference with a cam!!!

I never thought anything carbon fiber would work on a GTO, but that hood is nice.

If it was all bare carbon fiber it would look like ****, but the way the rest of it painted blends well and looks cool.
