Default buying a 2006 gto

Before I bought my 06 GTO I looked at and drove almost everything. I could not find anything that would do what the GTO does for the money (not even close). I am interested to know how many of you compared other cars to the GTO before you bought one, or if you were set on a GTO from the start and did not even look at other cars.

I tried out a fully loaded Monte Carlo SS with the 5.3. I liked its looks and it had decent power but it was still a front wheel drive car and I couldn't get by that. The GTO didn't have as many luxuries (no moonroof dissapointed me) but it had the Vette engine and was rear wheel drive and I loved the seats and color matched gauges. They were close in price - so I went with the GTO.

I was considering the Charger R/T. Drove both city and interstate.

I now own a 06 PBM M6.

I actually had my mind set on a 04 cobra test drove and that thing was a blast it was used 9k miles selling for 28k, but when i applied for it they wanted over 800$$ a month LMFAO so i saved up some money went to a pontiac dealership ( not looking for a pontiac) and i know the guy who owns the joint and he was going to pick up a cobra for me..... well while i was waiting on word about the cobra i saw a torrid red gto that looked pretty damn good so he let me test drive it and the rest is history

I am a hard core Mustang driver with 2 old foxcars with cast manifold turbo kits. Last week I drove an 04 and 06 GTO. I am impressed with these cars!
Add the APS kit and I am ready to part out the stangs.

I test drove an 04 maxima for 9 months before finally trading it in for the goat haha. Havent looked back since. The maxima had some nice feature, heated seats and wheel, sunroof, and all that but was no where near as fun to drive as the gto.

We traded our low mileage 2006 Mustang GT in for the 2006 GTO. It is a much nicer car inside/out, and the engine is 100x better than that turd 4.6L Ford. I also like having the extra tranny gear on the highway.

I've been dead set on a new GTO since 2004, needless to say I didn't even test drive any others.
