Ordered 2004 GTO-now where to get mods??
Hey group,
I have been a part of the GrandPrix group, but you can only do so much with a front drive car. I am close with the local Pontiac dealer, he let me order his ONE allocated GTO and for no money down. He said if I don't like the car in December when it arrives, he will have it sold anyway.
so....
I want to get some mods together this summer, what about the K&N intake you guys use with the oval filter as opposed to the cone? Any other LS1 ideas? I'll send pictures as well.
He also gave me his confidential dealer documents to keep on the GTO as well.

We'll have to see how that radiator shrowd is.
An cone setup similar to your GTP's will problably be what K&N does for an FIPK for the car.

well we'll have to see if the GTO has the holden hybrid style PCM or a US LS1 PCM... I thought I read that it's getting a better and faster one tho. That the computer can actually compute al ot more things at once instead of taking increments and averaging them.

I've had a burning question in the back of my mind. Seeing pictures of the instrument cluster and dash, will they be backlighted Pontiac warm red? Reason I ask is because I noted the LCD screens in the center console.
I'll be a little dissapointed if it isn't warm red.

Re: Ordered 2004 GTO-now where to get mods??
Hey Strife,
Thanks for the dreams.....
The first thing I did to my GTP was pull the pulley and place a smaller one for more boost so I like the idea.......
I can't wait to get back to good old rear wheel drive muscle....
I finally got to see a GTO in person at the Nascar Brickyard400 at Indianapolis early this month. It was locked so I couldn't sit in it but the car did look great, (although I too wanted a more retro style) It sits alot lower in the front end then I thought it would.
Think I'll start with the intake, then gauges then look into NOS.

So what is the sticker price on these things when loaded up? And are the HP/TQ #'s 340/360? (At least officially?) Thanks...
