Turbocharger or Nitrous???
Now i know the first answer would be nitrous because its less expensive, but whats best overall? i dont plan on doing anything right now since i still got 5 months left on the warranty but as soon as thats up, the mods come in. A coworker of mines told me to go with NOS since u can use it whenever u want to and whenever u dont need it u can just close the bottle, and he said that it wont beat up the engine as much since u'll only use it when u need to. But im really intriged by the APS intercooled twin turbo. Any suggestions? and what would i bee looking at as far as power?

either way,
you're limmited to about 500rwhp
it's all preference,
if you're gonna go nitrous (insted of boost)
do it right, don't be a cheep ***.
get all the safety gear
and show those tail lights to the boosted guys as they lag
if I were to do it again,
I'd have not gone with nitrous and cam,
and just saved a little more and gone with a maggie (but everyone has there own opinions)
the nitrous will give you alot less headaches (if you do it right)
but the turbo will impress more people
figureing wear and tear on the vehicle:
400 hp car, 100 hp nitrous, you're only running 500hp once and a while
500hp turbo'd car, you're running that all the time
you're limmited to about 500rwhp

the turbo kit is super cool,
like I said,
either way,
you're gonna be limmited to the same power output (around 500-550 rwhp)
before "everything" starts breaking (drive train, and internal engine componants)
from what I've seen (gto's and f-body''s)
a 500rwhp nitrous car usualy outruns a 500rwhp turbo car
but
in the end,
do what you think "you" will like the best
(and let us know what you decide, take lots of pics, and post them along with your dyno and track results)

Turbos, nitrous, and blowers are all cheating if you're the one seeing taillights.
Seriously, another this vs. that thread?
I strongly disagree with the poster saying 500whp is the limit. There's no frigging limit other than wallet contents. Stock motor? Then I tend to agree...I wouldn't push past 550 to the wheels, even though there are dozens of cars running 600+ on stock rotating assemblies.
Nitrous if you drag race all the time. Turbo/blower if you like to roadrace or autocross, or drive on the street not worrying about bottle temps and pressures and that Viper sitting next to you.

it's true,
you "can" have more than 500rwhp
but at that level, stock driveline componants start failing
(I threw town 502rwhp and 620rwtq before I purchased a single Drive train part,
I was cutting regular 1.6x 60' times (best of 1.555) with a M6 (stock clutch)
when we pulled my axle hubs, the splines were twisted)
just be prepared to start upgrading those parts
(I've also been told the stock clutch "won't handle it"
but mine's got over 300 passes and 42K miles)
