Question 04 GTO leaking auto trans fluid?

Never been serviced, still at ~ 16,000 miles . . .

Is this a common problem, or at least an easy fix?

where is it leaking from????

And are you sure it's not oil.

Common problem for some of the cars is the rear seal.

I'm pretty sure it is trans fluid. . . bright red and thick . . . I have no idea how long it has been leaking . . .

A very slight possibility it is coolant, I dismissed that since it was rather thick, but it softened the paint on the garage floor . . .

I have not had a chance to investigate, just saw the fluid on the floor . . .

Your power steering also uses ATF so it could be that also.

Well, I have confirmed it is definitely NOT coolant . . . water was repelled . . .

I need to get under the car and location the source, been buried alive, and haven't had time to explore too much. . . .
