Default First Time Drag Racing with GTO

Today was first time I ran GTO on the drag strip. My car is stock with exception of cat-back delete, Predator tune, and GMM. I was running stock KDWS tires on 17"s. Here are the top 3 times:

1) 13.283 @ 106.55mph with 2.064 60'

2) 13.393 @ 105.72mph with 2.058 60'

3) 13.344 @ 106.60mph with 2.052 60'

Are those decent times?

Here is a video of 13.393 run going against slightly modded VW R32: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZIyAJ...=33525&page=17

Not bad at all. Is it a A4 or M6?

It's M6. I don't think they make GMM Ripshifter for A4s

Those are some good times. Get a set of long tubes and a intake and you will be in the 12s

I meant the shorts....I have seen a few people(not me) put down 1.7's on stock tires...The car is capable, you just have to the want too and practice...

Somehow I really doubt it's possible to pull 1.7 or 1.8 on stock tires, but what do I know. With drag radials, I don't see why 1.8 wouldn't be possible, though.

Oh it's possible...pissed me off...I was just learning how to launch with DR's and was happy with the 1.8's I started getting and this punk in a GTO pulled a 1.7 with stock tires....Granted he had full pedders stuff but still stock tires...

i ran my 04 gto a few years ago and pulled off a 13.7 with a hideous 2.1 60 foot. I think you did a great job!
