As much as I hate to say it I would go with the TA unless they can't drive. I believe they are a tad lighter and they will pic up a bit with the headers and exhaust. Are either tuned? If the GTO is tuned and the TA is not then maybe GTO

That is surprising unless the TA had 2.73 gears. The 04 A4 GTO isn't that strong without tuning. Stock tuning on an A4 04 GTO is terrible.

when I had my stock 98 TA a4... I ran a 04 GTO a4 that was tuned(thats it as far as he says) and he had me by a car or 2 cars....
