Default '96 V6 Drivetrain into a '52 Chevy?

A friends dad of mine has a '52 Chevy. I'll have to find out the exact model, but he's wondering if any of the drivetrain from a '96 V6 car will work with a '52?

I know some parts will swap between Camaro's, but not sure of different models. Perhaps just some slight modifications will work..?

Hopefully someone out there knows..

Honestly, ANYTHING will fit into ANYTHING, depending on how much fab you want to do.

Very true. I wouldn't be fabbing anything, though, so it's up to him. I just have the V6 parts

Personally, I would swap in a complete S-10 frame and drivetrain. Easier to make the body fit than the other way around. Plus you get to use the 4.3L if you want, or easily swap in any small block.

yeah 4.3s are great motors. i personally drove one to over 270,000 miles with little work. the later vortecs have better top-end power though.

I'll let him know. He was just curious since I have the V6 car and will let it go for cheap. I don't think he wants the motor or anything. Basically he is just curious about the rear I think.

It just seems like it would be more trouble than it's worth...don't you have an open diff? It would be a lot easier for him to pick up a junkyard SBC or BBC and drop it in.
