Default Why do people hate on Hondas so much?

I used to have a couple.... I realized it was pointless to try and make a fast car out of them since it wouldn't be fun to drive on the street. But nonetheless they make great, fun cars even if their 4-cylinders have little torque. And their regular cars are great DDs and they handle pretty good stock (if you care about that). Is it the raspy fart can exhaust note that some eBay mufflers give them? Or is it the ricey body kits that some guys stick on them? Wrong wheel drive? The fact that our lug nuts need more torque than their engines make at the wheels stock? What is it?

Of all the popular enthusiast cars and trucks.... Honda/Toyota/GM/Ford/Subaru/Jeep/etc. they get the most hate by far IMO.

I don't think people truly hate them, or do they? I'm just curious.... I honestly like cars and trucks of all types but if you truly do hate Hondas, then why?

Honestly as stock cars to get from point A to point B w/ good mileage etc, they do pretty well. I dont think anyone has any problem with them like that. With work, they can be made fast too. Its the walmart/pepboy racers that really did them in though. Ever since the first Fast and Furious though, kids thought fart cans and neons were cool. I cant even count how many riced out civics Ive seen on the road. Its not even just the fact that they are riced out, but its the mentality and ignorance of 90% of the people that drive them. I think thats why they get so much hate.

It was mentioned in the post above, and I agree. It's nothing against the cars, it's the morons that have them. I never want to start crap with the rice boys, they're the ones that start with the V8's suck crap, VTEC dumdumdum!! I've even made attempts to talk to fast Honda owners, but their arrogance makes me flip around and say F you.

Honestly I just don't like Imported cars, I don't care if their tojo or kraut. Americans should drive American cars. Regardless of where they are built I like knowing that my money ends up in GM's hands.

they are what they are, nice reliable economy cars. unfortunately, a lot of the owners havent figured this out yet. people dont hate hondas, people hate what honda owners do to their cars. personally, i just like domestic cars - 'MERICA F*** YEAH!

Maybe because you see so many of them with huge wings, fart cans, stickers all over them, and they are slow as ****.
