Default Will I Regret Doing This?

im thinking about getting rid of my first car (99 Trans am) for an 04 Avalanche. did you regret selling your first car that you put so much into?

Here is the Avalanche

i have done alot to my car in the past 2 years... rims exhaust JL system corbeau seats just making it look nice. i paid for everything working almost full time over my summer break.
the Avalanche is 10k w/o the rims 12k with. 140k miles. my friend has already offered me 8.5k for my car but i might be able to get more

i think you are going to regret it. You have the last of a breed, and you are going to sell it for a vehicle that was stopped being made cause nobody wanted it (no offence). I like the avalanche but not enough to get rid of your car.

I can't say if you would or would not regret it but I know I would regret it.

You live in Fl, you can drive the F-body all year round, I think the Avalance is a cool truck if you need one, but unless you like worse mileage, performance, and handling then I think you'd be sorely disapointed. But, if you're seriously considering a Avalance over a TA one might assume you're not into the whole performance thing that much anyways. I guess its all about whats gonna make you happy, there are always more cars out there.

If I need a fullsize truck, I think Avalance would be on the list.

oh the truck wouldnt have the rims. i would get the stockers on some mud tires on it with a 3" lift.
the background to this decision is i have a court date next week for going 30 over and if i get charged then my insurance will skyrocket. its already 175 a month full coverage

Whatever happens at court I tend to doubt it'll be much cheaper to have the truck, insurance wise, and it will defintley eat it back out of you in fuel, and the nit-pick repairs that will come with any vehicle with 140k miles.

140k miles? Uhhhhh don't lol.

Reliable or not, that's quite a lot of miles to step into.

That is still alot of miles. Yeah, my camaro has 145k, but I didn't pay $12,000 for it either! It's just too much money for that kind of miles. I wouldn't pay that much unless it was a diesel truck. That's not a whole lot for those types of engines.

Don't do it. I regret that I got rid of my first truck that I modded. Still miss it.

My dad has one and it is probably the most useful truck on the market. The truck that now everyone is ripping off ideas from. However going from what you have to that you WILL regret it. Don't do it. Awesome trucks tho.

I regret selling my first car, an 89 IROC. I just had a dream about it last night - that's how much it's on my subconscious.

I guess you could say that.

My engine has 147k on it, runs strong as ****.

I have an oil pan gasket leaking.

Just ordered the new LQ9 motor that's going to replace it
