Angry GM Customer Service is a JOKE!

So im trying to get a letter from GM stating that my car 2000 TA is limited production so that i can get collector registration for my car in NJ.

you get transferred to the middle east where they can barely speak english and cant understand them......

there was a mess up cause the guy thought i said "cluster car" and gm didnt know what it means....

so straighten that up and now they understand that its collector car.

GM Customer service tells me that in the 2000 model year 3073 trans ams were made....

who is running the show???? when i asked if he had heard of the firebird/trans am he replied no

anyone have a more direct number to contact gm??

Yeah really...that lambo looks like it hasn't been washed in weeks! Don't they have water over there?

On and on topic, the real title to this thread should be "customer service SUCKS!" because if you've called ANY customer service from ANY brand of ANY kind of product, you'd have the same complaint. I have yet to deal with a customer service department that I could say was even adequate, let alone good.

im also curious what makes you think your average run in the mill 2000 transam is a collecter car?

its not even an 02.... and its not 15 years old so it isnt an antique?!?

also... they made 15,613 transams in 2000 althogether.

i know how many firebirds they made...

im getting the collector car registration so that i dont have to go through inspection and emissions, the only thing they check is your mileage.

also going w/ collector insurance so that i only have to pay $160 a year full coverage

if my buddy can get the collector registration for his run of the mill base z28 there no reason why i cant get it for my car

i have a 1998 Trans Am, black/charcoal, t-tops. Do i qualify?

seriosly, these cars will never be a "collectible." A CETA or a 35th SS, maybe. A run of the mill ws6 or base t/a...no!

I beg to differ. how many 1979 T/A's did they make, like 120,000? they are now collectible when 10 years ago or so you couldn't give them away. with pontiac being gone and with the new 2016? CAFE standards the muscle car may very well die out again. i think the 4th gens, especially the Pontiacs will be collectible in the future.
