well, you do have to allow for manufacturing tolerances.

I agree, it's a good thing she's just a decorator not a designer lol! Awesome concept though. At 35 you can imitate the fbody 35th theme in a cake.. Lol

Looks like ****. She needs to go back to drafting school and check out what a Chevy bowtie actually looks like.
I'd still eat it though. I bet it's delicious as hell.

I think it looks great. I'd like to see you guys make a cake that looks perfect when there's no mold of that shape. It's not as easy as you think taking multiple cakes and pasting them together. By the way a cake decorator decorates cakes, they don't make the cake itself. That would be like expecting an auto detailer to build a car from the ground up.

To be fair, the icing looks messy too. I don't think there would have been a single negative comment if he didn't say his wife's friend was a cake designer. You hold a professional to a higher standard than just some random person.

Well hopefully it tastes better than it looks. That looks like something I'd do on my first attempt. Give me a couple of cakes to practice, I bet I could make that look a million times better than that.

Happy Birthday though, hope the wife gave you some good "presents"

My wife wanted a CRV for her birthday while I was deployed, so I got her the key to her dream car!
