Default Got LASIK done yesterday!

Hey everyone ! So a couple years ago I went in for an exam to see if I was a candidate for LASIK and I was. I just couldnt get myself to get it done it was just to a lot of money. Well not 2 years later I am a little better off financially and almost done with college (criminal justice) and getting married in June and going to Hawaii for my honeymoon. So now was better than ever to just get it done, so I went in for another appointment yesterday and they actually got me in for surgery yesterday also! Well before the surgery I was seeing 20/400 and as of this morning for my check up I am
Seeing 20/13!!!! Best decision ever!

I was once blind but now I see!!!!!! Glad to hear it went well. I've seen videos of the procedure and it makes my butthole pucker. Did it hurt or feel uncomfortable?

It was still expensive in my
Opinion. About 4400. Well worth it though and if i ever need any touch up they will cover it. Actually I heard that it hardly hurt at all from everyone, well when the machine was cutting the flap it hurt pretty damn bad ! Lol

So you're awake during it? I wouldn't mind getting it to get rid of having to wear contacts, and my vision is pretty damn bad.

Yes completely awake! They gave me relaxers. If your needing it and can afford it ( I chose to make 183/month payments for 2 years 0%interest ) but now that I have done it it is really one of the best decisions I have ever made!

I had mine done about 12 years ago. Best thing I've ever done. No need to worry about expensive prescription sunglasses or breaking my glasses when doing outdoor sports. I also can't beleive they are charging that much money to do it. I guess that's why there's so many Americans coming up here and getting it done. I paid $1500.00 for both eyes. While in the waiting room I was talking to others and they were almost all from the U.S.A.

I could afford to pay it straight out which would be awesome. Be great to know how it's working a few weeks down the road.

lmao. I've been thinking about this but I think I would rather have one of the surface procedures like epi-lasik or prk. I don't like the idea of there being a permanent cut in my eye.

My surgery is scheduled for Thursday! I am going to Miami all week for testing to get it done. Perfect timing on your post! People with good vision just don't know. Hell I have had people tell me they are blind and **** their pants when they put on my glasses. I am -9.0 nearsighted on my glasses prescription. I cannot imagine waking up and being able to see.

No cloudiness or loss of night vision. Literally better vision than I ever had with glasses or contacts the same night as the procedure and even better the next day! They held me down pretty good and had me focus on a green light and if my eye or I moved at all the machine would stop. It checked for movement 200 times a second. Blue meanie, I bet you can't wait. I literally just woke up and didn't have to fumble around for glasses or contacts. It's amazing

cool, how long does each eye take.
My biggest reservations are cost, pain, and myself messing it up.
I hold nice and still for tattoo artists, but I dont think I can do it for too long (like from wanting to blink or something else). I'm pretty terrible at the dentist because I want to swallow

I believe it took about 3-4 minutes for each eye. You can't blink the thing they place on your eye makes it that you can't. I thought I would have trouble with that. But I did not.

My brother had it done. Was ok for a while and then his vision started to go bad. He had to go back for the 3rd time to "re-do" it. I'm not convinced this is for everyone.
