Strange how TMZ is always first to know about deaths.

Self-inflicted chest wound so he could leave his brain to science.

Admirable in a very morbid way.

However he died, this is a sad day. Junior was a class act and a ******* awesome football player.

I read somewhere a while back that he was in dealings with a few mob bosses on some investments. Maybe something went sour and they cut off a loose end.

Sad sad day today.

Didnt Seau try to kill himself by driving off a 30ft cliff a year or so ago? Very sad, fun guy to watch play ball.

RIP

The most unfortunate thing about suicide imo is that it affects others so much. It can seem like a solution to escape a problem but then that problem gets placed on friends and family and others around you. Not saying people are "bad" or selfish for doing it, it just is a sad situation in general.

Correct.

They found Kurt with his shotgun neatly placed on his chest. If you've ever shot a 12 gauge with a loose grip, you'll know that story was bullshit.

Anyway, RIP to Seau. I've got a TON of his football cards, including a few rookie cards. I'll have to dig them up.

Im a firm believer that she stole his song notebook and used it for that first good album her crappy band had. She proved she was talentless when it came to light that celebrity skin(the other "good" album) she stole all the credit for. Billy corgan helped her write like 80% of that album and she didnt initially credit him with anything, not sure if she has since.

Anyway, my take on suicide is this: every person's life is the only thing they only ever truly own, so it's theirs to do with as they please. Be a pilot, priest, pro-baller, **** star, peace corps fool, whatever. You wanna kill yourself too? Fine, because it's your life BUT you no longer get to do that when you've got family/children that depend on you to raise and nurture them. On that note, Junior is a coward and loses his life with absolute dishonor. May God bless the people that depended on, loved and cared for him...

He now makes the 8th player from the 94 Chargers superbowl team to die..... kinda creepy.

-Defensive end Chris Mims died due to enlarged heart on Oct. 15, 2008 in his Los Angeles apartment. He was battling significant weight and financial problems at the time. He was 38.

-Linebacker David Griggs died June 19, 1995 in auto accident in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. He was 28.

-Running back Rodney Culver, 26, and his wife Karen, died May 11, 1996, when a ValuJet flight crashed in the Florida Everglades, killing all 110 aboard.
Linebacker Lewis Bush died Dec. 8, 2011 in Tucson, Ariz. of cardiac arrest. He was 42.

-Center Curtis Whitley was found dead due to apparent drug overdose on May 11, 2008 in Fort Stockton, Texas. He was 39.

-Defensive tackle Shawn Lee died Feb. 26, 2011 in Raleigh, N.C. of cardiac arrest brought on by double pneumonia. He was 44.

-Linebacker Doug Miller was killed by lightning strikes July 21, 1998 in Dotsero, Co. He was 28.

at first i thought WTF are you talking about but theres some validity in your post. a few players have killed themselves and its possible it was connected to their injuries.

Yeah.. The constant frontal head shots especially by linebackers that charge head first and at full speed to make tackles could very well cause some frontal brain lobe damage over time which typically shows up after retiring..

The old timers had it really bad as the helmet and padding was not up to par back in the day.. Hey but Junior played an entire career and life time practically hitting and playing at the highest levels...

You just don't know if this was football related or a genetic depression gene that he could not deal with after retirement..

I just took a stab at what might be the cause of this suicide..
