My $500 pos 1993 Toyota. Had 150k when I bought it 5 years ago, now has 177k. Kind of cut my teeth working on that truck. Replaced myself the radiator, clutch, belts(that was tricky because the parts store sold me the wrong size belt and it kept slipping off), water pump, did a full tune up, fixed the hood and headlights to where it would stay down and they pointed right, all new front brakes, etc.

Going to sell her soon, I have a line on a 2004 Tacoma with working a/c for cheap, so the ugly beast has to go.

I've got a truck or two

00 Silverado 1500 with a 5.3. I've had it for almost 11 years and it's got 210k miles. It's been a great truck.

I had a Duramax for a while a few years ago and I've always planned to get another. I bought a 01 crew cab with bad head gaskets. I'm gonna go through the engine, re-upholster the seats, paint it, and I bought wheels and tires for it.

67 GMC 6.0 and 4L80e. I cut down a long bed, put it on a 5 lug trailing arm chassis with air bags. I'm gonna add front and rear roll pans and touch up the paint where I welded the bed sides, and leave the rest of the paint alone.

54 GMC. It's on a 94 Bravada chassis with a 5.3, 4L80e adapted to the awd t-case, and I'm going to turbo it. I've got some different wheels for it and I'll paint it matte red. I might put it on air bags too. I'm replacing the rear axle with a t-bird IRS. The only gear ratios shared by the 8.8" and S10 front diff are 3.73 and 3.08. I Found a limited slip, disc brake, 3.08 IRS and had to find a pretty rare 3.08 S10 front diff. I want a good cruise RPM and it'll be turbo-ed so I went with the 3.08s.

53 GMC. I bought it as a 3/4 ton flat bed. I bought a 1/2 ton chassis, bed, and running boards. It's got a GMC 270 which I'll keep, I bought a s10 5 speed to put in it and Jag front and rear suspension to use with the stock 1/2 ton frame.

Did the truck bolt right to the Bravada chassis?

It's ironic this thread popped up, I've been thinking about getting a truck for summer. I want something I can haul my boat with and load my ATV or both dirt bikes in the back. Ive really been interested in a SWB 5.3l Chevy. Have you ever had any issues with yours NOLT1?

Besides a rough idle at times I have no issues at all.. Some say it's the active fuel management idk..

No, S10 frame swaps are popular and you can buy ready made mount kits, but I just built my own. The Bravada frame is the same in the front and a little different in the rear. I'm going to completely change the rear though to mount the IRS. For a 2wd, the S10 frame swap isn't my favorite, but I wanted AWD and the Bravada frame made it easy and is a good track width.

I'm digging the Cherokee pickup truck. Does that truck actually have a frame? I'm thinking the SUV's were unibody.
