was the head a diamond shape or oval?

is the belly white? honestly it looks more like a boa than a water moccasin- their usually more striped, and not broken up like that, but it could be...

From what is in the pic it is waaaaayy too hard to tell for sure. But given the pattern and your location i would guess texas rat snake. There's no way in hell it's a moccasin. My other guess was broad banded water snake.
