Quite a few years ago, my friend got into an accident with his Grand Am, not his fault. But the car ended up on it's side, off the road. I guess he got the door ajar and open, but when help came up and climbed on the car, the door slammed down onto his finger while he was trying to get out.
When he told me the story, it was disturbing. Just typing it now makes me cringe. His finger was mangled, purple and stuff.
God damn I had to stop and think if I wanted to keep typing. Just thinking about it makes me cringe. I can't imagine how bad that hurt.
I was parked on a street that was very slanted. As I was getting out, I told the guy in the seat behind me to watch his hands when he was getting out. Go figure, as I was getting out, my door slammed. Caught my index and middle fingers in the door. Didn't feel a thing until I opened the door and took them out.
Still have a pretty intense dent in my finger.
Ive done it a few times! Heat up a safety pin and poke it just through the nail. Be careful it might shoot blood depending how much pressure is on it lol. But it doesn't even hurt that much and it feels 100% better right after I guarantee it.
^ I had my finger slammed in a door when I was 12 or so. I used a drill bit to make a hole, it does work.

Damn i thought i was the only one. When i first bought my car i was going to close the door and my thumb got caught all i could feel was like blood rushing trough my finger looking for a way to get out. My finger instantly got purple and i could not move it, i felt so much pain that i couldn't even move my hand. back then i worked in ups and i was like there's no way im going to go like this to work and called out sick, and i went to the doctor and he had to drilled like 3 wholes in my nail and i saw the blood popping out like it was a water fountain, did not go to work for a week, 3 months later my nail fell off. 2 years later my finger still feels kinda numb. My advice to you is like someone said make some wholes in your nail, after that you will feel kinda better but the pain will be with you for months! I had to do everything with my left hand for a couple of weeks because of the damn pain!
Had a friend of mine close my thumb in a 86 Dodge truck hood one night. Thumb hurt like hell, ice didn't help. The only thing that did was hot water, and the hole in the nail. I think I had to drill 2 holes in it, and the damn thing fell off about 3-4 days later. Took about a year before I had to cut 10 finger nails again.
