Default GM service parts operation service manual DVD

Not sure where to post this...
I have the GM service parts operation service manual .
I loaned the original DVD to someone ,and its now lost.
I still have the printed instructions.
I had this installed on my HD and also copied it to my portable HD.
But now the old HD is slaved off a new one thats now running Win 7
and I cant access either the one on HD or portable.
I guess I need the DVD to get the install files or is there a trick?

An ISO file is a file that pretends to be a real DVD. instead of having tons of unreadable mumbo jumbo files, you create an ISO (image) file, that, when opened, tricks the PC into thinking that the DVD is actually in the drive. Have you tried opening the file in "Compatability mode" ? Right click, properties, "run as windows xp, vista, 98, etc. etc."

There is a sponsor who sells them here. Found his tag name in my messages. Bought one from him 2-3 yrs ago. His name is BlownC5. Send him a PM. Am sure he'll be able to help anyone of whom has bought one & is having trouble or sell a copy to anyone looking for a copy.

Sorry, I can't e-mail or make a copy for anyone. C5 has done the work & gone through the proper channels in order to sell on here. Besides, the cost of the CD is dirt cheap. I highly recommend it.

Wow! Sorry, as I said, I bought a few years ago. Didn't know that he was banned. Same thing happened to the guy selling MSD wires & NGK plugs. One day he was here, the next, banned. Guess they weren't paying their sponsorship bills. Am guessing, don't know for sure.

thanks for working with me on this.
I just sooooo pissed for loaning it out.
I figured I had it covered since it was working on my HD and I had copied it to my portable HD also.
I guess it has some install files that are lost(or not transferred over).
