Default autoxing an a4

I was wondering how well I could do at autox with an a4. I have been focusing mostly on drag racing but I have become increasingly more interested in autoxing lately. I have a stock '00 z and was wondering if I it would be respectable at autox or if I should just not even try.

Thanks in advance for any input.

I'm wondering the same. I used to Autox a 91 Camaro RS with a 5 speed and did pretty good, but I can't imagine using an auto with a stall converter like I have. Every year I promise myself I will do it, but chicken out. I know it's possible, but the enjoyment factor would decrease significantly with the A4.

An auto won Nationals in FS two years ago. It can be done.

as long as you don't have too high of a stall, you should be okay. I want to auto my a4 also, and I'm getting either a 2600 or 2800, any bigger and I think it might hurt the corner exit speeds.

Go for it. I'm regularly as fast or faster than guys in my class w/ the 6 speed. I usually run in 2nd gear most of the time unless the course starts out w/ alot of turns. Then i start it in 1st and shift to 2nd.

Autocross is a sprint race. Usually there is a big parkinglot, and you design a race course using cones. And you race against other peoples times.

Plenty of auto cross search options. here's one from SCCA regarding their schedule: http://www.scca.org./amateur/solo2/regional_sch.html
