This is my still street legal NASA Time Trial set up 94 Trans Am. It still has a radio and the A/C still functions so it is bearable on the street in Florida.

It's an Autopower bolt in unit. It actually added a fair amount of rigidity to the car so that was a pleasant surprise. I don't care for the whimpy harness bar behind the driver but it does put the shoulder belts in the proper plane. I have the passenger side belts mounted to the horizontal bar but the angle is pretty steep on them so it's not ideal.

This is my "in between" setup until I decide to finish gutting the car, remove it from street duty and put a proper cage in there. I still autocross the car as well and it's just so much easier to drive it to those events instead of dealing with loading it on and off the trailer.

Here is mine. The cage was designed by Will Stukas and fabbed by he and my brother. The car is an NASA American Iron in the works... still has a way to go before it'll be a competitive car.

What you don't see.

Side glass comes out when I get to the track. I had a nice 4pt. welded roll bar at one time. I don't go to the track anymore, so I cut it out to save weight. Don't forget, autocross only.

That seems like a waste of a 6 speed vette for just autocrossing, I mean u probably dont even get out of 2nd gear unless you go to some really big autocrosses?

All the power to him if he can afford to do so. I think it looks great and seems totally reversible if need be.

My actual speed might seem slow to most road racers, but because of the conditions, it seems much faster. Check out these two videos. Especially the Vimeo one.

Jeff, are your seats on the Corbeau sliders?

Which Corbeau's are they?

They're mounted using the Corbeau brackets & sliders but I really hate the driver position and the quality of their sliders. If you look carefully I'm now running a back brace on the drivers side to help with seat flex. Spend the extra money and get something better. If I had it to do again I certainly would.

The drivers side is an FX1 Pro and the passenger is a Standard FX1 to allow for me carrying bigger guys. I instruct some and always take my students out at some point during the day. The passenger side is reclined a little more than normal in that picture because the POS seat tracks bent when I was giving a big guy a ride.

You can do a search on FRRAX and see me bitching quite a bit about the sliders. This thread pretty much explains it. http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/index.p...1&st=0&start=0

I think his FRC looks sweet esp for autox only looks good. I am thinking in the next year as the c5 keeps dropping doing the same think and gutting it and having a strictly track car .

what width rim are your ccw's and type of tire you use?

OP what type of cage are you interested in? my good friend has one from burkheart and that thing is sweet there are a ton of pics there http://burkhartchassis.com/billingsley.html

Autocrossing is an absolute blast and much more challenging than many people give it credit for. I ran SCCA Solo II back in the mid-90's with a 5.0 GT 'Stang and had a blast ... !
