Saturday I went to an Autocross for a test and tune on one of the fastest Corvette's I've driven. To bad it was on such a small lot. It was putting down 540rwhp. I liked just sitting in it. It also had street tires on it. Pretty impressive I could actually give it full throttle.
PCA had another great event at El Toro. After driving that monster Saturday, my car felt a little slow. No worries, just keep up your momentum and drive it like it has 100 hp. 1st. overall out of 110 cars.

Good driving! I so want to try autocross, not sure how my LS1 Trans AM will perform in autocross though. What city and state is this?

My observation is that if you go into it from the start thinking you will be a winner or even competitive, you will be disappointed. If you go into it to have fun and learn how to drive your car you will have fun.

I have run my '02 LS1 Firehawk in autocross and time trial and I have had a blast! Even with Highway tires on the car it sticks very well and the power from the LS is great!

Go try it out and have fun!
