Default Detroit SCCA Season Opener Auto X - Michigan International Speedway

Fastest run. Was running "PRO" ESP which I was the fastest ESP car out of a coyote, cobra r, shelby gt, and more.

As for PRO class and PAX I was 5th out of 24 in pro and 5th in pax out of 144.

I was there yesterday and saw your car run it looked really good. I took a look at your car in the pits, but you weren't around. Do you mind letting me know what suspension mods you have? I saw you have a watts link and stock brakes.

I have a 2000 SS that is down right now because of trans. I'm refuse to pull the trans again without a hoist so I'm in the middle of installing a 4-post. My car is too strangely modified to be in ESP, so I would be in CAM-C.

Yesterday I was driving a 2014 CTS V-Sport. I finished in 3rd behind the two driver 2015 White Mustang in FS.

Let's see if I remember everything....

1300 Coilovers with custom valved Bilsteins
Global West Upper control arms with Delrin bushings
36.5MM Hotchkis front bar
C6 Calipers
UMI Subframe Connectors
UMI Torque
Fays 2 Watts link
Ground Control Weight jackers in rear
200 rear springs
3rd Gen Koni SA rear
22mm rear bar
and of course usually 315 hoosiers A6, was on 18x10.5 sunday, usually on 17X12 CCW on big events

As for that white mustang, yea he is a National trophy driving ESP driver with a white Cobra R. It's currently in repair so he's trying FS out.

Doing great, still iffy if it's a tad too small, but since it wasn't too bad on this hair pin style course I think it will be fine.

Thanks for the quick response. Your car was quick and I was curious about the setup. I thought I saw stock from brakes, guess not! I just installed 4 piston brembos with carbotech pads.

What do you mean 1300 coilovers... no way the spring rate could be that high? I have H&R and I think they are about 550#, rears are 250#, with revalved Bilsteins, a 34mm front bar, stock rear. I'm surprised by your low rear spring rate, the bigger bar must make up for it. I think the Watts link will be my short term bang for the buck item.

First time I drove the CTS and it was really cold for the 1st segment. Really fun to drive.

Yes, no error 1300lbs coilovers with custom valved bilsteins. I know I run a very different setup the Strano and most commonly found. I also run a larger front bar, but compared to strano's old car running 800 front and 400 rear I was able to narrowly take that car at nationals. . I like the feel of it and I street drive it to events , maybe I'll one day try. Strano setup ESP car.

Interesting, gives me something to think about. I've never heard of anyone using that high or spring rate, aside from NASCAR. Gotta pull the trans and fix it first, so I'm just collecting data.

Thanks!

That's because too many people just follow the light and think 550 is some magic number. It's not. There are multiple ways to skin a cat.
