First Autocross!

First Autocross!
Just finished competing in my first autocross. Was the most fun I had in a while. People were great, really friendly and always willing to help out.
Was really happy with the car. Never pushed this hard before but even though this is my first autocross it felt very composed and neutral. First run was a high 53s, second run was 47s, third was 46s and fourth was 45s, which was right in the range of street tire C5's, a BOSS 302 and an 04 Cobra. Wish I had more runs, was shaving off over a second each time I went out. Ended up finishing 2nd in the Novice class.
Sorry no videos, I knew I forgot something and it ended up being my camera

The mods you have seem very capable.
I dove right in when I started autocrossing last year. I went from stock 95 Z28 to a full suspension + seat + 5pt harness with slicks all within ONE season lol.
A day that nothing breaks is a fun day to me!

Spare wheels with race tires would be my vote. That way you won't beat up on your DD tires.
Street tires teach patience IMO. Forces you to be smoother and easy on brakes/throttle. R-comps let you brake later and harder and be more aggressive. I went from Nitto NT555 to .used Kumho V170's. Night and day difference. I may actually go back down to a 200 TW tire for cost reasons and to focus on driving technique.

The best tires right now are the BFG's Rival S and the Bridgestone 71r. There not going to last long at all. If that's to much, you can go with Hankook RS3's Version 2.
