This is what's planned for the project LS engined Nissan 300ZX track car, manually shifted. The present circuit car has a manually shifted 4L85E which is good but way too heavy. The main reason for the change is much less weight and significantly less power loss. What I'd like to hear about is any disadvantages or good reasons not to use those two transmissions together.
