Default racing glove question

I got a pair of Simpson racing gloves this past Christmas. Who actually uses them while racing? I'm sure they are flame retardent and all that stuff, but they feel really weird. I tried them on while just regular street driving and they just dont feel right. The size is right and all but griping the shifter feels imprecise and the steering wheels feels slippery. Is it because I'm not used to driving with gloves?

After you sweat in them and get them a tick dirty, they will feel and grip better.

I use Sparco gloves and they now feel like a second skin.

YES! Back before my Sparco suede wheel got all matted down, I used Sparco Profi or Pro Kart suede gloves, all of the time , even on the street. I was trying to keep the wheel from getting matted, but it was a futile effort. They did feel great though, and gripped like velcro!

I found the Sparco Profi 2 to be extremely comfortable and subtle. Very suitable for a street based car. They were a little too delicate for open wheel Barber Dodge cars however, as I tore a hole in the knuckle area of my pair.

I have had Simpsons, Sparcos and ow have the new Oakley ones and the simpsons start to rip after half a season. IMO i didnt like the bottom of the sparco's but the Oakleys are the best gloves by far imo.

I tried lots of different gloves for auto-x and my joe rocket sport bike gloves felt the best but still not as precise as bare hand, after a while you'll get usto the beating and form tough skin, the gloves just dont give me the grip and feedback I need....
