Not my Z06, but here are the first set of races between the GTR and the Z06. In the first race from a 60 km h roll (37 mph), Z06 was in 2nd gear and hoovering right around the 2,500 mph mark..

My favorite part is when the GTR begs for mercy by flashing it's lights at the Z06 as it started to disappear at higher speeds..

Well...Z06 ate it, the gtr would eat me. Not a bad car, not sure on the 1/4 specs but isn't it supposed to be king of road courses? Sorry i don't know much about the new GTR.

The GTR is a cool car. But it got WAY over hyped by the media. I mean, how fast can a 3800 lbs. car be with even 500 BHP?

On the road course, yes, it is supposed to be one of the best despite it's weight.

Yes it beat the z06 around a couple curses now but from a roll it has a huge disadvantage and wont take a z06 unless the z06 is horrible driver.

ya the weight kills it even they put down around 460-470awhp stock but i dont understand it seems like every new automaker with a sports/supercar it ends up turning into a pig. Gtr, Challenger, GT500 ect...

Nice runs but pretty much expected decimation from the Z06, especially up top. The Z06 is WAY lighter and they make similar power stock (the GTRs are under rated from what I've seen in the magazines). You're talking a very low 12X trap versus a mid to high 12X trap stock for stock. The only thing going for the GTR in a straight line race is the AWD from a dig, but even that's going to hurt it up top, and from what I hear you also really need to know how to use it.

Not surprising at all. Similiar HP but the ZO6 weighs 600 pounds lighter. A friend of mine got a 2008 ZO6 a few months back. Bone stock and I got to say that thing is a monster.

I'm sure the GTR "fan boyz" will chime in and make excuses.

Its just a matter of time until the fan boys come in here and give the excuses as to why the GTR lost. Its simple really. The GTR is heavy, is underpowered for its weight, has more nannies than Buckingham Palace, and its Ugly (ugly doesn't make it slow but makes it unforgivable that it is).

I agree the z06 is a far superior car when it comes to street racing. The GTR doesnt get hurt as much as you would think by its AWD since its 98%RWD and only 2%FWD until the tires start to spin which is why it has alot less drivetrain loss then most AWD cars. I also agree that the z06 is a better all around car, and far better looking IMO. If you have ever driven a new z06 it doesnt feel like any other lsx car including the earlier z06s. Its truely a beautiful thing.

I also agree that the GTR-34 was better becasue of the RB engien that powered it is a proven 1200+hp car, i have yet to see anything that impressive out of the vqs

Yeah im gonna do the same thing on the legacy forum and see waht they do, sicne i argue with people all the time about who would win in a race. Even more so on the street since they believe that the z06 cant run on the street with stock tires. lol

You see now what I was talking about guru!? This is the 500hp GTR and its lighter than the 480hp model. It would get really bad if it was the 480hp car with the full weight...

How do i see what? There is no such thing as the 480crank hp skyline, its underated and make 450-460whp the base skyline is actually 530crank hp not the 480 nissan says. The lighter version of the new skyline is the spec v whic hhasnt even been released yet. And no i cant see the video, youtube is blocked at work

Lol your retarded, go too google look up gtr dyno , you will find a dozen or so shops that dynoed the car making 450awhp or more, some even got 470ishawhp out of a stock skyline, not tuned not modded stock. Eveeryone except you knows the skyline is underrated at 480crank hp it actually makes 530ish.
