Default Wheels for my 72' Camaro

I have been looking for the right rim for my car.. Im looking for a..

Front: 17x8" 5" Backspace 245/40WR17
Rear: 17x11" 5.75" Backspace 315/35WR17

I dont want to use any GM rims like a Zr1 or Z06 Replica, I cant stand that look. I want some dish..

Just give me some ideas, Thanks..

If your not on a tight budget get some CCW's, HRE's, or DPE's that nineball is selling. They all look good on about any car.

The most I want to spend on Rims is about 2 grand.. I was going to get Boyds, but I want to look around first..

I agree with you...the older camaros need a dished wheel. My dads got a 73 split bumper with centerlines but he likes the dragstars. I like the torque thrusts but everybody with an older muscle car has em...I would say chrome torque thrust Ms or either the Boyd smoothie 2s or the junk yard dog...thats just the style I like.

You did say a '72 Camaro, right? You might have some trouble getting a wheel with more than 5" of backspacing on the rear, unless you mini-tub. The area where the seat belt bolts go into the floor pan creates a fair sized "bump out" in the lower front of the rear wheel wells. It can be hammered flat, but it still is a limiting factor.

73 is the same as a 72 when it comes to length..

I already took care of that seat belt bump and I measured the wheel opening and BS and all and the space from the hub to the inner wheelwell is 6.25 on both sides..

no, I'm talking about how he said 1972 camaro... the way he said is was 72' which means it's 72 feet long. he ment to say '72 as in 1972.

put new trunk extension on..




POR15 the whole section.
