Location (State): NJ

LS Engine?: Car has LS engine

I’ve had no luck selling my 1965 GTO, so I’m going to throw this out there and see what happens. By no means do I have to sell, but I just have no time for this car right now with two young kids. I’ve only driven it twice in the last 14 months.

2005 Yellow Jacket M6 with an overdriven MP112, just under 39k miles, and just about every upgrade you can bolt on. I bought this from a friend who was getting married and he spent $18000 on extras on top of the purchase price. I’ve personally spent another $23000 after I bought it from him.

As for numbers, it made 547/561 (at CSP) spraying 100% methanol. Once I got it, I had it de-tuned for 50/50 meth/water just to be safe and it made 480/515 on another hot/humid day. I’ve done several upgrades since that tune (mainly replaced the slipping clutch and new 3” exhaust) and I’m sure it will do better. As it sits I’m sure it’s a 550+ car easy with a retune and 100% methanol.

I took it to the track once and fought bad wheelhop on three passes before I gave up. The rear suspension has been completely redone since then, new twin-disc clutch, and the diff built with a Truetrac. Have not made it back to see what it would do. I sold my 17” drag setup to try a 15” rear tire to see if that would help, and that’s about the time our second child was born and the GTO got pushed aside.

I’m sure I’ll miss something but here’s what’s been done:

Engine
Magnacharger MP112 Gen 5 1:1 rear/overdriven by Hendrix making @11lbs
Thunder Racing blower cam 2870T (224/227 114LSA .603/.609 I believe w/1.82 rockers)
Crane 1.82 gold series rockers
Comp Cams pushrods
Comp 918 springs and retainers (have a set of slightly stiffer Manley springs I can include as the Comps are about maxed out)
Innovators West 8-rib kit
ECS tensioner
DEI plug boots / ZR1 plugs / Magnecor 10mm race wires
Lingenfelter cold air kit
Moroso coolant reservoir
Hinson drop engine mounts
WCS fast acting IAT (new, not installed yet)
Innovate Wideband
PWR polished power steering reservoir
Mishimoto radiator and hoses
Jamezbiz billet yellow catch can
Hawk’s valve cover breather

Fuel / Methanol
Mototron 60lb injectors
Russell braided fuel hose kit
Lingenfelter 255 in tank pump
Devil’s own dual-nozzle meth kit (brand new jets)

Exhaust
Kooks stepped headers and catted mids (coated)
Kooks full 3” street screamer exhaust (brand new)
QTP low-profile cutouts in the mids w/ wireless controller (brand new)

Trans/Rear
Monster LT1-S twin disc clutch with maybe 500mi on it
T56 gone through (did not need a full rebuild) and new slave/rear main seal at time of clutch install
2QWK clutch master with speed bleed
DSS 1000hp aluminum driveshaft
BMR driveshaft loop
Billet Pro shifter
SJM / Hurst line lock
Black Hurst pistol grip shifter with momentary switch (have original in nice shape)
Rebuilt rear diff with truetrac, GForce major install kit (maybe 200 mi on it)
Harrop cover
Hinson trans mount

Suspension
Hendrix strut bar for Magnacharger with chrome powdercoat
GForce anti-hop axles and 2-piece inner stubs
Non-Sponsor toe rods
Pedders big bore shocks and zero-drop springs
BMR drag bags with separate inflators
Whiteline rear cradle bushings (done right with cradle alignment and new TTY bolts)
Whiteline radius rod bushings
Pedders zero-drop front springs (new in box – was deciding on which struts)
Pedders front strut mounts and bearings
DDM HIDs (fogs installed, headlights included)

Wheels/Tires/Brakes
18” staggered gunmetal VMR 710s with 235/275 Nitto NT05s, maybe 2500 miles on them
GrafxWerks liquidome cenercap overlays with yellow arrows and CF background (have 3 spares)
ARP rear studs
Yellow rebuilt calipers with black Grafxwerks decals (brand new)
Hawk pads front/rear (brand new)
DBA 4000 series drilled/slotted rotors front/rear (brand new)
Russell 6-piece brake line set (brand new)

Exterior/Appearance
New OEM headlamps with Headlight Armor light smoke overlays for protection
New OEM fog lights with Headlight Armor light smoke overlays for protection
2006 OEM taillights
Finish Line Concepts smoked side marker lights (not installed yet)
New 35% tint on front windows / 5% on rear, rear side, and top of windshield
Real SAP side skirts and spoiler (center of trunk not drilled, I didn’t hook up the 3rd brake light)
SAP front extension molded to bumper (not a perfect job but looks better than factory stick-on method)
Brand new never mounted SAP license plate bracket (no holes drilled in front bumper)
SAP grilles in satin black
All Mavman underhood fasteners
Mavman billet/carbon fiber front/rear arrows
Mavman CF rear diffuser
Many GrafxWerks decals
Stock YJ and satin black hood scoops
Billet strut covers (not installed)
Custom Edelbrock “big block chevy” look coil covers (http://www.ls1gto.com/forums/showthr...ight=edelbrock)
Catera door handles (not installed yet, need painted)

Interior
$1800 worth of matching YJ SCSS gauges - SCSS center pod with oil pressure / volt gauges and an SCSS triple pillar pod with boost / wideband / fuel pressure
Alpine 920HD GPS headunit with all the supporting mods (iphone cable, parking brake bypass, steering wheel controls, etc.) still have the stock headunit if you want it
Hardwired Escort 9500ix with blendmount and directwire/smartcord display on column
Seats in excellent condition, rear seat mint with no split seams
Black suede on front doorpanels, knee bolster, and glovebox redone in yellow suede. I have the side pieces for the console in yellow as well if you want to install them, I never took the time. I also have a complete set of mint black pieces if you prefer the stock look.
GTO logo front mats (not installed)

Other
$400 top-of-the-line coverking car cover
Newish key fob (maybe a year or so old)
Trunk mounted Optima yellow top with Flaming River disconnect through the passenger taillight (have a mint ’06 taillight if you want to remove the arm) – done right and passed tech
Custom trunk floor so you can access spare/jack without removing battery/methanol tank
ALDL cable for cluster mod (shift light has been activated)

I’ve also parted out a few GTOs while I’ve owned this one and kept lots of odds and ends/spare parts that the buyer could have if interested. Glass/trim/axles/airbags/switches/steering column/etc. All stuff I thought might be hard to find someday.

As for condition the interior is an easy 9/10, the exterior I’d say is 8/10. The front bumper clips broke when the intercooler and pump were installed, so I’m using the zip-tie mod for now. A few marks here and there, nothing major for an 11-year-old garage kept vehicle. There is a small rub in the center of the rear diffuser where someone probably bumped it, been there since before I bought the car. A small ding below the rear passenger window from a stone. There’s a paint blemish on the trunk lid from when a JHP spoiler was installed, it’s not very noticeable with the SAP spoiler installed. And standard paint peeling off the passenger door handle – I have a spare yellow handle in perfect shape that I haven’t had the time to install. Included are the Catera handles that would be a better long-term fix anyway.

I don’t have as many recent pics as I thought I did, so I’ll throw up what I have for now and get some better underhood/brake/trunk/interior pics in the next few days. I see some of them do not have the most recent mods (old brakes, old JHP spoiler, no Nav radio), but the description above is accurate.

Asking $21,500

For better or worse, I've got a spreadsheet on all my vehicles and keep track of what I spend. I have the same detail from the prior owner as he was a friend. So yes, that's what has been spent on mods/maintenance and I didn't include the labor the prior owner spent on installing the cam/supercharger/headers/battery/methanol/gauges/interior which was all professionally done.

Thanks for the bump, it's never been to ECS that I know of, the car came from down south and went to Twisted Minds Racing in Atco for the blower install (before I owned it). It was tuned by Andrew at CSP last July. Other than that I've done the work myself, I don't trust many people with my cars.

Sure it wasn't my car? Very similar interior, and I went to the last 2 ECS events.

Bump for a sharp goat!
